This is such a lovely read, Bee - a sort of effortless stream of consciousness that carried me along in its current. I'm always so envious of folks who can write in such a way (although I'm guessing the physical act of getting the words down wasn't effortless). You took me off into little memories of my grandparents. One grandfather loved his garden (funny how I can still picture it in my mind) and the other had no garden but would buy the prize-winning veg at one show and enter said veg in another show 😂 (It seems we are a similar age with children about the same age; I have 3 boys)
